Girls Day Out

Lisa and I took the girls to see the Nutcracker at the Stafford Center this afternoon. Mom and Leah invited all of us to the Country Club for lunch before the show to make a real Girls Day Out.
After lunch we posed the kids in front of the tree.

After lunch we went over to see Granny. We tried for a good photo of her with all the girls, but I didnt' get one worth showing. We did pose for a nice four generations photo.

At first Laurie was all "shy" but just before we left, she was cuddling up giving hugs.

We rushed over to see the Nutcracker performance.

Afterwards the performers gathered in the foyer so the children could ask for autographs and photographs. Cameron wanted to see the Sugar Plum Fairy.

Nutcracker

Cameron received an invitation from one of her best friends to attend the Houston Ballet Nutcracker matinee performance. Erin & Cameron were best friends in 2nd grade - in the same class and Girl Scouts together. Even though they are in different classes this year and Cameron doesn't attend Girl Scouts, they are still friends and see each other at school during recess.

Erin's mom took both girls (aren't they adorable!) and they had snacks and bought ornaments before the show. Erin loves ballet, and is a Junior Patron . This membership included a reception in the Green Room where they could meet the dancers afterwards.

They also toured backstage and got to see the props up close!

Erin's mom sent me the photos and clearly they had a fabulous time! I wish I'd been there too!
